Hi Petra, these are nice design. I love your style and color system!! really nice!!!!!
I do not know what collection the company of HK performed. However, though regrettable, in the industry of a design, it may say like this occurrence, "Nobody adopts." I think that I am satisfactory in your design. However, the design for which the company was asking may be being in others. It may be that a company did not tell you hope correctly.
Do you want to sell this design to other companies? You have many ideas. Probably, if this idea is developed further and a presentation is carried out to other companies, anything will not have a problem.

Ya, I really want to sell at least couple of them, I would be happy. It's too sad for me, because the HK company said to me first, that they really want to work with me and they ask me to show some new ideas. And finally, all my hope is away Can I do the presentation to others through e-mail, is it OK?

Oh what kind of meen people are they? I love your characters!!! I have the same experience and it makes me mad that some clients doesn't have any respect for our work. Make sure they don't steal your ideas – keep your eyes open!

In order to protect you, you should put in a watermark, when carrying out a presentation on-line. Moreover, I know your ability well. You can also avoid an irrational client. When I surely want to materialize work, I will mail illustration sample and letter to cliant.
You can do much more work. It is also important to look for the new possibility. Probably, the client which needs your art will be in the world. When you have interest, contract with an illustration agent is also one method. The illustration agent was used when I also worked with a foreign country once.

Thanks Marty.
Do you think I can send them as they are or should I make the (virtual in my case) 3D models first?
Do I have to explain a story behind them or it is not so necessary?

Sorry I can't reply immediately. ummmmmm...... A virtual presentation is an effective means. However, probably, it will be better not to carry out showing all the information that a client needs. Since correctness is required too much of the presentation in 3D, it may become a minus image. I think that a powerful color sketch is the best presentation. Your presentation will be a success, if a client looks at your sketch and creates the design and function beyond it.

Stupid, stupid me. Do you remember the characters with connected heads which I posted here? I showed it also on Kidrobot forum and someone (who also looks and chats on that forum) has stolen my idea and manufactured something very similar By the way I have sent the design by e-mail to a HK manufacturer in January 2005. But the similar toys of Unklbrand were manufactured in April 2005 and released in June 2005! So I was the first who developed it. This is my original idea: And this is manufactured version of Unklbrand:

Hi Pekta. Nice and fun designs of yor characters(And I mean fun in a positiv way.). The stealing of designs and idears is highly frustating, thinking of how much work and time that is in the proces. I feel so sorry for you.
About your designs, even if it all seems a bit dark now so keep them! They might be JUSt what you need a nother day or even tomorrow!?
And just keep aproching other companys, not just the ones you know but try to look up others! Maybe they don't want to moke figures but they will likly like your design and maybe they want to do other things with them!
I'll keep my fingers crossed for you here, and please let us know what happens!
Your DIDO friend Axel

axel: wow, thank you for your supportive words, I appreciate them Marty: well, yes I have wrote to them, but you know, I can't do anything against it except not to show my unrealized designs on such boards in the future. They responsed to me, that they have had the idea in mind just a year ago. But it is very fishy, that they came with the product a few months after me. Who knows where is the truth. Anyway, it was a lesson for me.

Your sad news is our sad news. It is what happens to anyone, us the artists. When I also announce to the Internet a work, I want to aim at careful cautions. it was a lesson for me too.
