Hi, Hello folks. I making babyPAT. This babyPAT is small PAT which the key-ring attaches. a. Design....I made two ideas. The adopted design is "B" as a result of consulting with Norn of a PAT master. b. Work of a prototypeThis babyPAT is 1.5 inches in height. It is difficult to make a prototype from "the clay of the powder of a stone" which I am usually using. Therefore, I decided to use EpoxyPutty. It is necessary somewhat to enlarge the arm which attaches a key-ring. Then, I enlarged the arm using polyPutty. b. Work of a moldThe surface is sanding with a sandpaper. The surface is beautifully finished by primer after it. A mold is made using oil clay and LOGO. Silicone is poured into a mold. Silicone is carefully applied to a small portion using a brush. Then, let's pour in silicone. In order not to leave the air bubbles of silicone, vibration of an air-conditioner is used. It was able to do in this way several hours after. Next time is duplicate work!!

Hi, Helloo!! c. Duplicate workTwo type resin are quickly mixed by 1:1. As for the resin which I am using, hardening starts in 90 seconds. Therefore, immediately after mixing about 10 seconds, it pours into a silicone mold. The resin hardened from the mold in 5 - 8 minutes can be taken out. Completed babyPAT is small like this compared with PAT of regular size. Finally the key-ring was attached.

Well, I'm hooked on making my own sculptures, but I can't figure out how to make my own double sided mold. I've searched the KidRobot and other pages/forums. I'm lost. The mold you're using, Marty, looks like a really smart thing. Do you have a tutorial on that one? But only if your not too busy! Thank you
