Hi, my name is Grace, I am norn's co-worker... he recommend me this site and I really love everyone's work... So, here I am, sharing my work and give my support to everyone ;-) Here is one of my work, I feel that the nice feeling from the pencil sketch is not being carried into my illustrator work... am I being too critical to myself? Thanks for your opinion....

Grace Hi, Welcome the board! wow sweet take it is. are you drawing for picturebook or for kids item? did you use to AI(Adobe Illustrator)? outlines are really nice!! I think, if you added more darkness background, It will become more good!
anyway I appreciate your first post!! and when you have a time, let's enjoy Dojoing with us!

Thanks, this is for a picturebook. I am not sure if this girl is my final decition for the story... but I am working on it
I use AI, it's pretty much the only media I use for my artwork nowaday
The darker background.. that sounds like a good idea, I will give it a try, Thanks!!

Hello Grace! Cute picture!I like both the pencil and illustrator picture. But I see what you mean with the pencil one having a more "living" outline.
If you do like your pencil work much even if you do a illustrator vertion also. Try doing very light coloring (like watercolor) with low opacity. It's a rather eacy to make it look good that way and still keep the pencil outline and feeling.
Hope to see more of your nice pictures!
